GEC has spent the last 30 years engaged
in engineering/environmental services for local, state, and federal governments throughout the South Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. Completed projects have ranged from designing and constructing levees and coastal structures, sheet piling flood walls, and major drainage channels to pump stations, navigation locks, water diversion structures, and major navigation channels. Additionally, GEC has conducted numerous environmental/restoration/ecological studies in the coastal zone including vegetation and biological surveys, water quality sampling, and groundwater monitoring. GEC has also conducted inundation mapping and floodplain management studies as well as recreation demand and socioeconomic studies in the coastal zone.
