Economic Analyses

What We Do > Economic Analyses
GEC is one of few consulting firms with an experienced staff of economists and planners providing economic feasibility and impact evaluations of major infrastructure projects to federal, state, industrial, and private clients. Staff members have successfully conducted hundreds of economics and planning studies for projects from Alaska to Puerto Rico and in almost every state in between.

GEC’s economists and planners have completed economic feasibility and impact studies for 23 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers districts nationwide. Our staff includes economists, sociologists, geographers, and planners. Although designed to mirror the capabilities of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers branch, the staff has proven to be highly flexible and knowledgeable in working with the economic and planning needs of states, municipalities, and private entrepreneurs.

Our staff is highly experienced in the conduct of studies in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ National Economic Development responsibilities and is adept at use of econometric models such as IMPLAN and specialized software such as HEC-FIA, IWR PLAN, and IWR-MAIN.
