What We Do > GIS Mapping
GEC’s GIS group has grown to meet the needs and expectations of its clients in GIS capabilities as well as capacity to successfully conduct multidisciplinary enterprise GIS projects across the nation. The GIS staff includes landscape architects, engineers, wildlife biologists, foresters, agronomists, programmers, analysts, and instructors. The Department has grown side-by-side with our engineering, environmental and H&H departments to provide clients with state of the art technology applied to natural resource, infrastructure, planning, and environmental studies.

GEC’s experience in multi-disciplines – engineering, environmental services, energy, and economic studies – has provided a wide spectrum of fields to which we have successfully applied the powerful spatial capabilities of GIS. Our GIS professionals have brought the power GIS to highway and bridge management systems, environmental and cultural studies, urban planning, economic modeling, land management, emergency operations, public healthcare, utility, and facility management projects.
