  • Economic Impact Analysis of the Florida Inland Navigation District's (FIND) Waterways

    This study documented the detailed calculations of the economic impacts of the AIWW in each of the 12 counties along the Atlantic Coast of Florida.  An initial data search was performed to determine data availability and any necessary modifications to the methodology for each county, then the detailed calculation of the economic impacts of the AIWW was performed for current conditions and two future scenarios.   • Vessel Traffic Forecast for Gulf Intracoastal Waterway System as it Relates to Calcasieu Lock Replacement Study

    This study was to develop a low, mid and high range vessel traffic forecast over a 50 year period of analysis for the Calcasieu Lock. Special emphasis was given to the commodities of crude petroleum, non-metallic minerals, industrial chemicals and petroleum products as these commodities combined comprise nearly 80 percent of the total tons moving on the GIWW.
