Baton Rouge, Louisiana – March 6, 2012 – G.E.C., Inc. (GEC), a leading provider of engineering, planning, and consulting services, was just awarded a $10 million retainer contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Savannah District. Under this contract GEC will provide planning, environmental, and engineering consulting services for civil works projects in support of the USACE South Atlantic Division and Savannah District customers.
This award marks GEC’s fourth such contract as a prime contractor with the Savannah District and continues the firm’s rich history with the USACE. GEC has held similar contracts in 17 Corps Districts and currently holds contracts with the New Orleans and Jacksonville districts as well.
In addition, GEC is on a team that has been awarded a contract by the Canaveral Port Authority to assist the Port in a multitude of professional planning, engineering, dredge, cargo, cruise, structure, ship support and design services for a variety of waterside, land and under water projects. This work will be performed through the Waterside General Engineering Services contract.
