GEC provides professional Communications Engineering services to federal, state, and local governments as well as private and industrial clients.  Typical video projects include Mpeg2, Mpeg4, and H.264 video systems.  Voice networks typically include Voice-over IP, ATM, and Frame Relay.  Data networks consist of network design, existing communications analysis, legacy and future system integration, and network scalability studies utilizing ATM, Ethernet, packet over SONET, and dense wave division multiplexing.  Typical wireless networks include 802.11xx networking, WiMAX, 3G/GSM/GPRS/TDMA/CDMA cellular network design and installation oversight, and wireless microwave networks.  Finally, network security appliances and network penetration testing are part of common security deployments.

Deliverable client items include plans, modular specifications, data network analysis and opinion of probable cost, optical fiber network budgeting, OTDR trace analysis, and all associated field inspections required to ensure proper system integration and functionality.
