Flood control is the major program area of the Corps of Engineers and, since GEC is focused on providing technical assistance, involves the many study facets of flood control project formulation and evaluation.

GEC has conducted literally hundreds of flood control planning studies for Corps districts across the United States.  We have worked from California to New York and from Minnesota to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  GEC has developed into a significant technical resource for the Corps of Engineers because our staff of economists, planners, sociologists, and public involvement specialists are trained and experienced in the Corps' planning process.
