Project Summary:
GEC and joint venture partner KLL Consultants has an on-going retainer contract to provide design, bidding and construction administration services for the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission (GNOEC), Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Capital Improvements Master Plan Rehabilitation Program. The GNOEC Capital Improvements Master Plan Rehabilitation Program, Developed by GEC in 1992, is a series of construction projects designed to restore the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and related GNOEC facilities to their original as built condition. The program is funded on a pay as you go basis under a 50 cent toll increase begun in 1995 and is expected to be complete in 15 years. GEC has prepared designs, secured permits, developed plans, specifications and construction cost estimates and coordinated bidding on the following Capital Improvements Master Plan Projects:
