Under contract to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans and Memphis Districts, GEC has managed and prepared risk liability studies for numerous Corps projects addressing approximately 800,000 acres in Arkansas and 325,000 acres in Louisiana. The studies were conducted in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regulation ER 1165-2-132, Water Resources Policies and Authorities for Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste for Civil Works Projects, which requires identification and evaluation of potential environmental risk and liability in federal project areas, and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard E1527, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. Completed projects include:
